BIBLE NOTES FROM A PASTORS CABIN
Welcome.
For around 50 years the Bible has occupied a central place in the Christian life and ministry of the author of this site. The selected notes shared here fairly represent the variety of ways which he has studied the Bible believing it to be the final and sufficient authority in all matters of Christian life and faith.
Although many of the notes bare the marks of study and research, devotional and prayerful reflection coupled with application to daily life are like a thread running through them all. The main aim of these Bible notes is to encourage the development of a personal relationship with God through the Lord Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Other aims are to equip people with an ever increasing knowledge of God's written Word the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. Also to encourage people to think through the Christian faith and its application to all areas of life.
Hundreds of years ago a document was written called, "The Westminster Shorter Catechism". Its first question is "What is the chief end of man?" What is the final purpose? What is the main thing about us? Where are we going and what will we do when we get there? The answer is "To glorify God and enjoy him forever'" Glorify! Enjoy! There are other things involved in the Christian life. But it is extremely important to know the one thing that overrides everything else. May we remember that as we study, "Notes from a Pastors Cabin".

"Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path." PSALM 119v105
